Spring Trends 2014

With spring commencing in just a few hours, its time to pull out our shades and kick that winter woolly Trashcan to the curb. Here are a few personal predictions to help you rejuvenate your seasonal lookbook and embrace your inner spring goddess.

1. White on White

Effortlessly chic and simple to master. This trend begs you to throw on your “only-once-worn” white blazer with your staple white bottoms be they frayed shorts or sleek white jeans. Finish this look off with delicate gold jewellery or slip on a pair of white sandals.

2. & 3. Breezy Braids and Loose Locks

Let your hair down this spring and embrace your natural ambience. Who doesn’t love beachy waves, stylish braids and want to be a punk rocker with flowers in her hair?

3. & 4. Dewy Make-up and a Bold Lip

Ladies, our lips were meant for talking and that’ just what they’ll do with barely-there make-up and a bright lip. Replenish your skin’s natural glow and prepare and to pout your way through an endless amount of shameless spring-day selfies.

5. Return of the Birkenstocks

Throwback Thursday couldn’t have come any sooner. These sloppy sandals are back in action and here to stay (not that they went out of style for me ๐Ÿ˜‰ ). They are guaranteed to add an effortless dimension to an already prepped outfit (I mean they’re effortless to put on). Pair them with your favourite spring dress, jumpsuit or frayed white shorts (see 1.) for a simplistically chic spring ensemble.

6. & 7. Prints and Florals

Its time to shed the shackles of coats and jackets and explore your adventurous side with animated prints and dainty florals. Nothing says spring more than flowers right?
